Splash Into Summer was a great event in downtown South Boston. There were plenty of things to do and see. Simply Southern Bistro & Grill, LLC and From Scratch Halifax food trucks provided delicious food and drinks for the crowd. The Brown Brothers, sponsored by Rogers Heating & Cooling, performed live for the audience and did a spectacular job entertaining and keeping the fun going until 8pm.

A visitor from nearby Danville commented, “This is so much fun. I love coming to downtown South Boston because there is always something new going on!”

Many local and nearby vendors set up their tables and tents for their products and services along the sidewalks. There were plenty of baked goods and sweet treats, jewelry, home decor, candles and melts, tote bags and purses, coolers, and more.

“This was our first Splash Into Summer event and we are very pleased with attendance – especially given the unseasonably hot temperatures and threat of thunderstorms. Thankfully it turned out to be a beautiful evening and it was great to see so much activity downtown at night,” commented Tamyra Vest, Executive Director of Destination Downtown South Boston (DDSB).

“This was a great event and we appreciate all of the hard work that went into making it happen,” said Tom Raab, South Boston Town Manager, as he strolled the sidewalks and enjoyed the festivities.
